Hi everyone! We are finally ready to enter the auto-patcher era with this final manual client patch.

MAKE SURE TO INSTALL THIS CLIENT PATCH BEFORE LAUNCHING THE GAME AFTER SERVER UPDATE #13 IS LIVE

New Features And Fixes

  • Our main client file Ragnarok.exe is now the auto-patcher window! Huge thanks to @rayzones for drawing the background and helping me with the UI elements <3
    As for the real client executable file, it is now under the name Ragexe.exe.

  • The first autopatch, 2024-03-17_EP104_data.gpf, contains all the missing Episode 10.4 data, thanks to the publicly available iRO patch that I used for this.
    With this patch we will finally be able to create Gunslingers and Ninjas! But only after I push the next Server Update to the live server (should be later today or tomorrow).

  • ADDED: Custom Aura textures into the data folder to stop the client from throwing errors each time an Aura has to be rendered.

  • FIXED: Wrong music was playing at the Swordian Exam map.

Known Issues

  • The clothes dyeing palettes are still broken.
    I decided to spend some additional time to fix them properly instead of choosing the least broken ones from what we have right now.

  • Super Novice gear is broken.
    Some of the items have wrong sprites, some don't have slots. Putting on Angel's Kiss [#5125] is causing the client to start showing "Missing sprite" error pop-ups.

  • Magni's Cap [#5122] is breaking the client and softlocks the player character if they put it on.

Patching Instructions

  1. Download the .zip archive niceRO_client_patch_17032024 using the link above.

  2. Unarchive the .zip archive.

  3. Drop the files that were inside the .zip archive folder niceRO_client_patch_17032024 into the niceRO_client folder and allow your system to merge folders and replace all the conflicting files (THE GAME MUST BE CLOSED BEFORE YOU DO THIS!)
